This is a beginners guide to playing the mod we use on our servers.

You might have noticed that you can't enter some areas on some maps, or that some people start with weapons, or have awesome force powers.This is because we use a system where players have to register on the server to get access to all options.

Registering on the server does NOT have anything to do with your Jedi Academy copy of the game, or registering it online.
This only means that you will make a account on the server where you characters data will be stored, things such as:

The amount of Credits you have
The Level and Profession you are
The time you have played on the server

And much more.

 

GETTING STARTED

When you enter one of the servers, first choose a nickname for yourself (Padawan name cant be registered).

After you have done that, open the console (hold shift while presing the key below your escape key).

First you need to choose a password for your account.
You choose your password yourself.
I will use the password "lol" for an example on this guide.

Now write /regnick <password>
EXAMPLE: /regnick lol

If everything worked fine, your console should now give you an ID code.
EXAMPLE: 4118

Use this ID code along with your password to login:

/login ID password
EXAMPLE: /login 4118 lol



Now your all done!
You are a registered user with access to all areas!



Professions
There are three professions available in this mod.

Profession 0 (also known as No Profession):
- You get the basic force powers you choose in profile
- You can use weapons
- You can use items

Profession 1 (Known as the Jedi/Sith profession):
- You start with jump lvl3, saber attack lvl3, and saber defense lvl3.
- You can buy levels and achieve greater powers, up to level5 in all forces.
- You can not use most items. (altho a few can be used, such as the seeker and the armor pickups.)
- You can not use any weapons (except the saber).

Profession 2 (Known as the Mercenary profession):
- You start with a blaster, and a jetpack
- You can not use a saber, or engage in duels.
- You can buy "skills", such as better weapons or more jetpack fuel etc. (this is explained further down).
- You can use weapons
- You can use all items (except the seeker drone).
- You can use cannons that are placed on the maps.
- You get more health and armor for every level. (at lvl40 you can have 235 health and 235 armor when you start.)

To choose a level, open console and write /profession <the profession you want>.
EXAMPLE: /profession 1 - this makes you Jedi/Sith profession.

IMPORTANT: Every time you change profession you loose ALL LEVELS And HALF OF ALL YOUR MONEY!
So dont change profession unless you are really sure you want to do this.

MAKING MONEY

There are 3 "main ways" to make money.

1. Finding Money stashes
These are small blue packages of money hidden on the map.
They look like small grey/blue datapads, the size of your players foot.
These will always be hidden in places everyone can find them at, so not in high and unreachable places, more likely on the ground.
When you pick one up, you will glow in white and all players can now kill you and try to take it, so you have to hurry to depositing it.
You deposit the stash at small machines that are known as Money Dispensers.
Walk up to one and hold use key against it until the money is deposited, and you will have them in your account.


With the force power Seeing level 5, you see a blue beam above the stash when in seeing. (as showed on picture).

2. Doing Quests. (requires credits)
This requires some credits already, You walk up to one of the quest buttons and pay a small fee to enter the quest.
Then you press a button to spawn a bot to fight.
If you win the fight, you can press another button to collect a price (money).
If you loose the fight, then you lost the money you paid to enter the quest.
An example is the Tavion Questo on t1_surprise, where you pay 30 credits to enter the quest, and if you defeat Tavion you win 100 credits.

3. Duelling for the money. (requires credits)
If you walk up to a player and write /challenge bet, you will duel over 10 credits.
The winner gets 10 credits, and the looser looses 10 credits from his own account.
You can also /challenge hibet to do the same over 100 credits.
If you try to challenge another player for money and it only does a regular duel, it means that one of you dont have enough money to duel about.

4. Other ways of making money includes winning tournaments set up by the clanleader, being in treasure hunts arranged by the clanleader, or
winning swoop bike, tauntaun, wampa, or rancor races arranged by the clanleader. Some players might also offer you some credits for some help.


Buying Levels and gaining more force powers or skills

To buy a level, write in console: /buylevel to see what next level costs.
It will say something like "Your next level is level 2, and costs 146 credits."
Then write /buylevel <cost of next level>.
EXAMPLE: /buylevel 146
It will say "You are now level2!
And you will also gain more points to put in skills or force powers.


To buy force powers as a jedi or sith, in console type /forcelevel to see what force powers you can have, and how many points you have to spend.
You get more points for every level you buy.

Here is an example picture of how it will look the first time you type it:

If you want Grip lvl1, type in console:
/forcelevel 11
and it will give you one point in grip.
You will also choose Sith side by doing this, and all jedi powers (in blue) will be removed from your forcepower list.
Then write /forcelevel again to see the new number of Grip if you want to put another point in it.

Further down you can see a small list of what the new force levels do (lvl4-5 forces)

To buy skills as a mercenary open the console and type /skill.
This is what you should see the first time you do this:

If you want a point in skill 1, Starting weapon, type /skill 1 in console.
Just like on the jedi/sith forceleveling.


LIST OF SKILLS AND FORCE POWERS:

SKILLS:
1. Starting Weapon

- This skill makes you start with a weapon after death.
- By default it is Blaster Pistol
- Starting Weapon lvl1 makes you start with a Blaster Rifle.
- Starting Weapon lvl2 makes you start with a Bowcaster.
- Starting Weapon lvl3 makes you start with a Disruptor Rifle (sniper).
- Starting Weapon lvl4 makes you start with a Golan Arms Flechette.
- Starting Weapon lvl5 makes you start with a Imperial Repeater.
2. Jetpack Fuel
- Increases the time you can spend in air with jetpack, and makes you go a little faster with the jetpack.
3. Weapon Grip
- Makes people unable to pull weapons out of your hands with force pull.
- For example, if you have weapon grip 4, and someone with force pull 3 tries to take your weapons, he cant, while someone with pull5 might be able to, but it will be alot harder.
- With lvl5 weapon grip your weapons cant be pulled from you.
4. Ysalamiri Blast
- Ysalamiri Blast gives a yellow shield that makes you immune to force powers, and removes all force powers from a jedi/sith.
- If you pick up a ysalamiri, you will hold it with you, and you can write /ysalamiri in console at anytime to activate it.
- Ysalamiri Blast lvl1-3 gives yourself the ysalamiri shield for longer duration the higher level you are.
- Ysalamiri Blast lvl4-5 gives yourself the ysalamiri shield for 30 seconds, and gives everyone close to you Ysalamiri for 15 seconds.
- If you have this skill, use /bind key ysalamiri in console to be able to activate it easier.
- Example: /bind g ysalamiri
5. Ammo hold
- Makes you able to carry more ammo. Max 600 ammo with all weapons. (except rocket launcher, thermal, detpacks and trip mines.)
6. Stash Range
- When you use binoculars, and you are close to stash, if you have stashrange youll hear a beep.
- The closer towards the direction of the stash you look, the faster the beep will be.
- When a player has the stash, you can hear the faster beep when you look towards his direction. (no matter how far away he is, in order to track him down easily and take his stash >:D)
- The higher the level of the Stash Range, the longer distance u can hear the beep from.
7. Martial Arts
- This differs from server to server, on some you can't do kicks until you get martial arts to lvl3, and can't do grabs until its at lvl5.
- On our server, you can kick and grab without martial arts, but you do more damage the higher level you are and the level of this is.
- At lvl40 with lvl5 martial arts, one melee punsh does 50 damage, and one grab can instantly kill your opponent.
8. Starting Armor
- The amount of armor you will have when you start.
- Full level = you start with the maximum possible amount of armor for your level.



Force Powers level5
1. Jump
- makes you able to jump in air, or stay in air until your force runs out.
2. Push
- much more powerfull. Can push vehicles (atst's, swoop's, x-wing's, etc)
3. Pull
- much more powerfull. Can pull vehicles (atst's, swoop's, x-wing's, etc)
4. Speed
- Longer Duration, faster speed.
5. Seeing
- Longer range on seeing, stashes has a blue beam over them.
6. Absorb
- Works against force powers like lightning lvl5.
- When absorb is on and someone uses a force power on you, you gain more force.
7. Heal
- Heal for 50 points per 50 force (heal3 does 25 points per 50 force.)
8. Protect
- You cant be instantly killed when protect 5 is on.
- You can jump down 'deathzones' (areas you would normally die in, like lava, jump off cliffs etc.)
9. Mind Trick
- Larger area of effect, longer duration
10. Team heal
- Heal the people close to you for 100 points.
11. Grip
- Has a greater grip distance, you much more flexible, works on huge npcs like rancors, etc.
12. Drain
- Drains for more
13. Lightning
- Red lightning effect, affects vehicles like x-wings, at-st's etc.
14. Dark Rage
- Last for a longer duration
- You take less damage (amost immortal against physical damage).
- Faster speed
15. Team Energize
- Regenerates force of the people close to you
- 100 points
16. Saber Attack
- Single saber: 2 new stances (Desann and Tavion).
- Dual sabers: Higher damage
- Staff saber: Higher damage
16. Saber Defend
- Increased defense
- Can block full sniper rifle shots with saber
17. Saber Throw

- Increased duration, increased flexibility.
